How They Decided To Tackle The Brief

PEDRO IZIQUE: There’s a really funny thing. In the US, it’s like you go for the gold every time. And a lot because of the structure and because of the how sports are treated and everything. But in Brazil, for example, where I come from, we used to celebrate bronze as gold. And a lot of because we see that the world isn’t fair. We come from this like rougher background and like the meaning of bronze in Brazil is different than the meaning of gold in the US. So I think that was sort of the base of the idea. And I think once we got to this point of view, then Josh just magically put together those words. And I remember that Nike really liked that point of view, “THE WORLD ISN’T FAIR”. And they asked us to not just do a manifesto, but how can you bring that idea to life in a very creative way? In a way that doesn’t seem like just a voice over footage.
